Family reunion (marriage or cohabitation)

Anyone who is legally married to a Dominican citizen or who is cohabiting with a Dominican in the Dominican Republic can request family reunion. In these two cases it can be obtained without any problem.

Retired

All pensioners who want to live in the Dominican Republic and have a net pension of 1500 dollars or more are eligible to request and obtain it. If there are two (2) people (spouses) the minimum amount rises to 1750 dollars.

Income from investments in the country of origin

Those who have a demonstrable (with official documentation) fixed income (for at least 5 years) of at least 2000 dollars per month, coming from real estate, financial and corporate investments, can request it, the income rises to 2250 dollars per month, in the case of spouses . Some examples:

Investments in the Dominican Republic

In order to request and obtain it, you must invest a minimum capital of 200 thousand dollars in a Dominican company (both new and existing company) and this investment must be certified by the competent import and export office of the Dominican Republic.

Work contract

In order to apply for this type of residence, you must have a company in the Dominican Republic, which offers you an employment contract.

The company that offers you the employment contract will have to register the job offer with the Ministry of Labor and request Sirla certification of its company. Once these two certifications have been obtained, you can request and obtain them.
